The new year will bring an exciting new event format to Irish Rallying with the first running of 'Herospec' the Irish Rallysprint of Champions. The new event will run at Mondello Park on January 20th and 21st and will kick off the 2018 Rally season in style. Herospec will be two days of non-stop Rally action on a brand new Mondello Park Ralllysprint stage culminating in Sunday's 'Super Special' style, head to head knockout competition. Mondello Park and Dunlop Tyres are delighted to announce a new partnership which will see Dunlop become the title sponsor of the Masters Superbike Championship for the next three years. As part of the deal, Dunlop will become the sole supplier of Tyres to the Masters Superbike and Supersport classes and the championship will be named the Dunlop Masters Superbike Championship. The 2017 Parts for Cars Irish Rallycross Championship reaches its climax at Mondello Park this Sunday, November 26th, as round seven of the series takes the drivers back to the home of Irish Rallycross. Following a long season, which saw the championship race on three different tracks and combine with the British series for a Summer double header, the championship arrives at it's finale with all but one of the class titles still to be decided. Mondello Park is delighted to announce the dates for the 2018 Fiesta ST Championship and Fiesta Zetec Championship which will see the popular series' race on four different track layouts over the course of the year, including two new additions. Following a long wait for the contestants since the final shoot-out on November 1st, Jason Lynn was announced as the Masters Superbike Championship 'Young Motorcycle Racer of the Year' at the Masters Superbike Championship awards ceremony in County Kildare on Saturday night.
