Now you can strap in to one of our newly updated custom-built 280bhp Nissan 350Z drift cars and experience the rush of going sideways for the first time. Our drifting instructors will guide you through the fundamental techniques of drifting and this course is specifically designed for first time drivers/amateurs looking to take their driving skills to the next level.

WHAT IS DRIFTING, AND WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT FROM REGULAR DRIVING?

Drifting is a motorsport technique where the driver intentionally oversteers, causing the rear tires to lose traction while maintaining vehicle control through a corner. Unlike regular driving, drifting involves maintaining control while going sideways, creating thrilling and visually stunning manoeuvres.

During a drift, the driver carefully balances the throttle, steering, and brakes to maintain control of the car's trajectory while it gracefully glides through the turn. The art of drifting lies in achieving a fine equilibrium between sliding the rear end of the car and maintaining just enough forward momentum to complete the corner smoothly.

With its high-octane action and visually stunning displays, drifting has captured the hearts of automotive enthusiasts, motorsport fans, and casual spectators alike. IS DRIFTING SAFE FOR FIRST-TIME DRIFTERS OR AMATEURS?

Safety is our utmost priority in our drifting experiences. Our team of professional instructors ensures that participants have a secure and enjoyable time. Before getting behind the wheel, participants receive a comprehensive safety briefing and are provided with proper safety gear, including helmets and racing suits.

We conduct our drifting experiences in the Mondello Park paddock area, giving you plenty of space to learn the basics to drifting. Our instructors focus on teaching proper drifting techniques and car control, catering to participants of all skill levels.

Whether you're a beginner or have some prior experience, our personalized instruction and continuous supervision create a safe and supportive environment, making your drifting adventure a thrilling and memorable one.

DO I NEED PRIOR DRIFTING EXPERIENCE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE DRIFT EXPERIENCE COURSE?

No prior experience is necessary for the "Drift Experience", and we recommend completing this experience before trying the "Drift Experience XL". The "Drift Experience" is specifically designed for first-time drifters and amateurs who want to learn the basics of drifting from scratch.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR THE DRIFTING EXPERIENCE?

For a comfortable drifting experience, we advise wearing casual and comfortable clothing. Opt for closed-toe flat shoes, as they provide better pedal control and enhance stability while driving.

Please keep in mind that Drift Experience takes place outdoors, so dress appropriately for the weather conditions. Avoid wearing loose clothing and excessive accessories to ensure a safe and enjoyable time behind the wheel. Your safety and comfort are our top priorities, and dressing appropriately will enhance your overall drifting experience.

HOW LONG IS EACH DRIFTING SESSION?

The duration of each drifting session varies depending on the package you choose. A typical Drift Experience session lasts about 2 hours with 15 minutes of driving, while a Drift Experience XL Thrill session lasts approximately 1 hour with 30 minutes of driving.

ARE THERE ANY AGE OR LICENCE REQUIREMENTS TO PARTICIPATE?

CAN I BRING MY OWN CAR FOR THE DRIFTING EXPERIENCE?

No, for safety and liability reasons, participants must use our custom-built Nissan 350Z drift cars, which are specifically prepared for the best drifting experience possible.

CAN I PURCHASE A DRIFTING EXPERIENCE AS A GIFT FOR SOMEONE ELSE?

Absolutely! Our Gift Certificates are redeemable against any of our driving thrills, including the Drift Experience and Drift Experience XL Thrill courses. It's the perfect gift for any motorsport lover.

Every Driving Thrill purchased from Mondello Park comes with free membership for 12 months! Enjoy complimentary access to all our events including all Irish Championship Circuit Racing (ICCR) and Irish Rallycross Championship (IRX) along with our famous Japfest Festival and Historic Festival. Simply follow the instructions in your confirmation email to get your digital membership card automatically issued and arrive to the event with photo ID and your membership card.
